This course puts the “mixed” in mixed media! We will use paint, paper, fabric, thread, beads, and more to create a one-of-a-kind bird collage. In addition to learning and practicing collage techniques, we will also talk about easy methods for image transfer, how to select your color palette, and how to create a harmonious composition. This class is appropriate for artists of all levels of experience, including beginners. Very few specific materials are needed, and I will encourage you to use many items you likely already have on hand. We will probably make a mess! We may get dog fur in the Modge Podge! Be prepared to experiment! We’re going to have loads of fun and you’ll be able to use the techniques you learn here in countless other projects when you’re done.
